Develop greater confidence in your abilities and strengths

– at home, at work, at play…

Have you ever wondered whether the year ahead might be a better one if only you were able to find fresh perspectives on personal challenges, enhance your decision-making skills, gain greater interpersonal effectiveness or increased confidence? And what if, as a result, your productivity improved, you managed to attain your goals and your satisfaction with life and work exceeded your expectations?

If this sounds appealing and you feel ready to take action, then one of East Sheen’s hidden treasures, Krysalis Coaching run by Ella Jaczynska, could be just what you need.

Ella is an East Sheen resident with many years’ coaching experience who last year set up Krysalis Coaching, which she runs alongside her career as VP, Corporate Strategy, with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).

“It may sound strange but there really is method in combining the two,” says Ella, a warm, approachable professional who is passionate about the positive benefits of coaching. “I was initially trained as a coach within GSK to help with managing my large team, and immediately recognised coaching’s impact and power. Following several years training within GSK I then went on to also qualify as a Coach externally. Last year I decided to make a further change and now continue to work and coach at GSK four days a week, and run my Practice in Sheen on Fridays and during the evenings. I am lucky that my employer is supportive of this as they see that it can only make me a better coach when coaching at GSK”

“Coaching works with the individual as a whole and you can’t separate work and other aspects of their life; therefore, I am able to bring my extensive corporate coaching experience to bear in Private Practice and vice versa. Working as a coach in both these environments keeps me fresh, always learning and broadens my experience – something that I believe is positive for all parties.”

“Coaching is a powerful and effective way of increasing your performance, awareness, fulfilment and satisfaction with work and life in general,” says Ella. “I believe coaching is fundamentally forward moving and outcome focused. It helps you to think and act for yourself, develop your capability and confidence in your own strengths and abilities. It brings about sustainable change in behaviours and ways of working because it is the individual who decides what and how they want to change.”

“At its heart, coaching is a belief that the person facing the challenge possesses all that is needed to find the solution. My role is to question, challenge, support, build awareness and believe in the possibility of change in order to facilitate my client’s own thought processes. This is all in order to help them identify solutions and actions. My role and one of my strengths as a Coach is the relationship I build with my clients, as well as my ability to drive them to action and help them find solutions that are needed.”

In addition to qualifying as a Coach with GSK, Ella has also gained the International Coaching Federation accredited Certificate of Coaching with the company Coaching Development and has studied the impact of positive psychology, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Transactional Analysis on behaviour.

Ella’s motivation to develop her Private Practice is driven by her fascination with people and her passion for helping them get the most they can from life and work. “It is really fulfilling to be able to use my training and the experience I have gained in this way and to meet such amazing people in the process.”

Is coaching just about the world of work? “No, not at all, says Ella. “I will often begin coaching a client on the basis of helping them to realise their potential at work and it will evolve into coaching them on life issues. The two things are very closely linked.”

As a cancer survivor, Ella understands how significant life events can derail you and the importance of finding a way to get back on track and move forward. “Coaching can help with so many areas and issues and it is normal to need a helping hand or some outside guidance from time to time in order to help us recognise and appreciate our strengths and use them to good effect.”

Ella has lived in and loved East Sheen since 1996. When she was ill she was greatly touched by the support she received locally and says she feels lucky to live here.  “I love to run in the park, cycle along the river and am a complete Sheenite! It feels perfect to me to base my Practice here and to be able to help local people and businesses through coaching.”

Krysalis Coaching is based at Sheen Therapy Centre and has the use of a bright yet warm, calm, inviting and comfortable room. “I have been a user of Sheen Therapy Centre myself for some time as it’s where I come for Pilates. The centre is a fantastic community of highly qualified and accredited healthcare and remedial therapy specialists. The environment is warm and friendly and perfect for coaching sessions which fit perfectly with the centre’s ethos.”

Ella is available for appointments on Fridays and during the evenings.
