We want to tell you about a rare event in the neighbourhood… please feel free to tell your friends and neighbours, too.

clip_image018[2]On Friday, 30 September, the Holly Lodge Centre in Richmond Park will open its doors to friends and neighbours from 11:00 to 12:30, offering us the opportunity to have a rare glance behind the scenes.

The Centre is normally only open to groups of children, young people and adults, many with special physical and learning needs who come to learn about and experience the natural and historic heritage of Richmond Park.

But on this day, all are welcome to …

  • explore the newly wonderful nature trail that offers so much pleasure and exploration to the centre’s users. There’s a fascinating “bug hotel” and more to discover in this peaceful spot.
  • see all the produce grown in the Victorian kitchen garden by our team of special needs young adults from the Paddock School
  • have a go at Victorian servants’ chores and learn how our forefathers learned their three Rs in our Victorian classroom
  • celebrate over 150 years of Mr Palmer’s the Chymist and make pills the Victorian way.

Come and have fun discovering more about this special place for learning
